How To Apply

Welcome prospective exchange students! We are excited that you are visiting our website with hopes of attending 91°µÍø. Loyola only accepts exchange students from its exchange partner institutions. If you are a student at one of these universities, please contact your International Office to find out if you are eligible to apply to 91°µÍø's exchange program.  Once you have received approval through your home institution, you can then begin the application process with Loyola. The exchange coordinator at your home university will work with you to complete this process.

Application Deadlines

  • Fall semester (late August through mid-December):
    • Nomination Deadline: February 23nd (must be submitted by home university’s exchange coordinator directly to oiss@loyola.edu)
    • Application Deadline: March 23 (application and all supporting documentation must be submitted by the student online via the Exchange Applicant Portal by the deadline). 
  • Spring semester (early January – mid-May):
    • Nomination Deadline: September 23rd (must be submitted by home university’s exchange coordinator directly to oiss@loyola.edu)
    • Application deadline: October 21 (application and all supporting documentation must be submitted by the student online via the Exchange Applicant Portal by the deadline). 
 
Application Requirements - Prospective Applicants should review this link to reference application requirements and instructions to be completed before they can be considered for admission to 91°µÍø University Maryland.

Admission requirements must be submitted by 11:59 p.m. EST on the deadline for admission as the electronic portal will automatically close at this time.

Admission to 91°µÍø is not confirmed until a prospective applicant receives admission information/ a decision from the Office of International Student Services (OISS) indicating their admission to 91°µÍø is confirmed. 

Students interested in studying abroad at 91°µÍø should be in third year standing when attending Loyola and have a suggested GPA of 3.0 or higher; students with GPAs lower than 3.0 are encouraged to provide insight to their academic goals in their Application for Exchange Student in the Application Portal.

Please note, financial documentation must be current and dated within the last 3 months. 

Flight itineraries should not be booked and finalized without a receipt of admission and also not without conferring with the Office of International Student Services about your immigration paperwork.

Inquiries about discrimination related to any other protected class aside from sex or disability may be made to Rodney Parker, Chief Equity and Inclusion Officer (Humanities 224, 410-617-2201, rparker1@loyola.edu), OCR, or both.
